A Deep Dive Review Into Asus RT-ACRH13

November 29, 2020 by tuio

Deep dive in ace RT-ACRH13

http://31.220.61.170/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/A-Deep-Dive-Review-Into-Asus-RT-ACRH13.jpeg RT-ACRH13 is a router of the Taiwanese company Asus, which focuses on the home user market. It was designed and built specifically for home users and was originally released in December 2016. Since then, it has found its place in a crowded market, which is clear proof that it has met the needs and expectations of millions of users around the world. That’s why Asus RT-ACRH13 is still popular today, almost four years after its release.

At the time, it was a bit surprising to see an attempt to integrate some of the latest network technologies into low-cost devices. Previously, ASUS and most other major manufacturers only produced high-end routers that were clearly focused on the enterprise customer market.

On the contrary, Asus RT-ACRH13 is an affordable product, designed for individuals and small businesses. Designed using the latest MU-MIMO technology, which refers to multi-user, multi-component and multi-component systems.

A FREE TOURIST GUIDE: CREATE YOUR OWN GAME CONSOLES

Below are step-by-step instructions.

The AC in the router name refers to the router that supports the latest 802.11ac network standard; the ac label at the end of the default name. The number after AC is the maximum theoretical bandwidth or speed the router can handle. In this case, 1300 Mbps. For comparison: the old 802.11n network standard has only 450 copies. In addition, the air conditioner can operate up to 100 users, compared to 40 for N.

Many home users prefer high-end routers, which is not really necessary if we have the Asus RT-ACRH13 (Ac1300) router, which is clearly superior to most high-end routers such as the Ac5300 and Ad7200.

By focusing on the average consumer, Asus did not focus on ridiculously high theoretical bandwidths such as 3200 Mbps or 4500 Mbps, but on delivering consistent performance over longer distances.

Of course, the theoretical maximum speed of 1300 Mbps doesn’t seem that high, but in the real world and over time it takes much less than that. Depends on the package of your ISP.

Compared to its predecessor, the RT-AC66U, the design of the RT-ACRH13 is similar, while Asus has retained the same case. However, they moved the rear antennas from the middle to the side and also added one antenna on each side, only 4. They have also added new design features that make it more elegant and unique. Thus, although the RT-HBA13 is not a complete breakthrough in the world of saturated networks, it may come at the right time to take advantage of technological progress and meet real human needs.

Asus is proud that the RT-ACRH13 is one of the best routers in the AC series. To find that out, we tested the router. Is it worth the investment? On the following pages we give a complete overview and at the end we make a final judgement.

Who is it for?

http://31.220.61.170/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/A-Deep-Dive-Review-Into-Asus-RT-ACRH13.jpg

Asus RT-ACRH13 has excellent features to meet the needs of a wide range of users, but it is probably best suited for medium to large sized homes that require an Internet signal in every room.

With its four 5dBi antennas, you are no longer tied to the location of your router, but your entire house is available for internet use. Now you can transfer your favorite websites or the latest movies from the comfort of your room or elsewhere.

It provides a stable internet connection you can rely on for your work. So it’s also great for those who work at home, or at least part of the time. You can even transfer large files easily. Although the AC network standard can serve up to 100 users, the router itself does not connect to multiple devices such as in large offices and buildings. It’s not made and doesn’t need it. However, you can still connect many wireless devices and up to four wired devices at the same time. This should be normal given the number of laptops and desktops usually found in a home environment or even in a small office.

Almost without delay or buffering, outside of work, it has no problems with heavy games and streaming. No matter how advanced your game, you can rely on Asus RT-ACRH13 for clear and realistic graphics that stay one step ahead of other players.

What do we like about Asus RT-ACRH13?

Asus RT-ACRH13 is one of the best routers and has first-class properties. It is an excellent router for today’s users who need the best signal level. What makes it even more attractive is that it works and looks good.

Asus has updated the housing of the previous model RT-AC66U with new features to make it more elegant, stylish and unique. We like the black and grey matte diamond pattern. None of this makes it possible to keep your fingerprints after processing. The Asus logo stands out on the back. And thanks to the numerous ventilation holes at the bottom, left and right, the RT-ACRH13 provides sufficient ventilation to keep it cool.

The antennas are also well placed. Instead of being placed symmetrically around the router, they placed two at the back, towards the sides, and two more at the sides themselves. This means that the front of the router is not dirty or full of antennas.

And because the USB 3.0 port is on the front, you don’t want anything to get in the way: Nothing stands in your way. Pretty smart design. In the same way, the top of the ceiling extends back and forth from the main part of the router. This gives it a small edge on the front and side, which protects the USB port and the bi-directional antenna a little.

Internally, Asus RT-ACRH13 is equipped with several internal devices. Firstly, it is equipped with a 717 MHz quad-core processor with Qualcomm Atheros IPQ4018 technology, 128 MB internal flash memory and RAM, all of which improve the quality and performance of the router. It is also equipped with four Qualcomm 2×2:2 chips and a 2.4 GHz rich wave power amplifier, which together provide a powerful 5 GHz wireless connection, making it an impressive dual-band gaming router.

For residential applications, MU-MIMO technology will take over in this model. It makes it possible to connect multiple devices to the router at the same time and create a seamless wireless connection to the Internet. This increases traffic to any number of devices and reduces buffering when surfing the Internet. To avoid wasting time due to delays, this is the best router.

Asus RT-ACRH13 features beamforming technology that allows you to scan an area and identify wireless devices. A connection is then made to an identified wireless connection. Beam-forming technology does not transmit signals everywhere. This way no bandwidth is wasted.

With AsusWRT’s intuitive and user-friendly interface, you can easily install and configure Asus RT-ACRH13. Just open a web browser, type https://router.asus.com and press Enter. Then make your choice and enter a username and password, admin, and click the login button to access the user interface.

After logging into the user interface, the first time you log in you will be asked to go through a wizard that will help you set up the internet quickly. It automatically detects the type of connection to the ISP. You will then be asked to enter the SSIDs you need for the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks. Finally, you need the security key and click Apply to complete the installation.

The complete AsusWRT web application is well designed, slim and compact. It’s simple and doesn’t overload you with information. If you know the router interfaces well enough, it won’t be difficult at all. Access the various menus of your choice, from network view to traffic monitoring. You can also access the interface via Android or iOS with the mobile application AiCloud, a very useful feature in today’s fast and ever-changing world.

It is the speed of the Asus RT-ACRH13 that makes it today’s router. The 5 GHz range offers speeds of 867 Mbps and 2.4 GHz to 400 Mbps. The total speed of the two series is thus 1267 Mbps, which is quite high compared to other routers in its category and price range. And that’s certainly enough to allow you to download and unload content from multiple devices at the same time.

Internet users often complain about the limited compatibility of their routers. Many routers support Android and Windows or iOS devices. Asus RT-ACRH13 wins in this respect because it is highly compatible with both different systems. If you have devices that support Windows 10, 8, 8.1, 7 or Android, that’s fine. It is also remarkably compatible with Mac OS X 10.1, 10.4, 10.5, 10.6, 10.7 and 10.8.

Asus RT-ACRH13 has an excellent wireless connection. There are also very reliable wired connections for other devices, made possible by four ports, each supporting a gigabit format. The availability of these four Ethernet ports makes it an even more efficient router for gamers. You won’t have any trouble finding one of your game consoles…

We have performed several tests to check the reliability and speed of the Asus RT-ACRH13 router in the network.

First we connected 3 x 3 laptops and started measuring the bandwidth. Within a radius of 1.5 meters, the maximum speed of 95 Mbit/s is measured with the 2.4 GHz bandwidth. At 15 feet the speed dropped slightly, but not dramatically, to 81 Mbps. On a 100 foot network we measured the average speed of the router with 20 Mbps.

We also achieved this by switching to the 5 GHz frequency band, the network standard for 802.11ac. This time the maximum speed was measured with 446 Mbps at a distance of 5 feet from the ground. In the same way, we measured a speed of 15 feet at 325 Mbps. Eventually the speed dropped to 134 Mbps at 100 feet.

The total speed of 150 Mbps at 100 feet is undoubtedly astonishing considering the distance. It is able to deliver and control such speeds at such a distance, mainly thanks to its beamforming technology.

In general, the Asus RT-ACRH13 is an excellent high performance router at a very affordable and attractive price.

What we don’t like about Asus RT-ACRH13.

Although it is a small, lightweight router (8.14 x 5.85 x 1.39 inches), you cannot place the Asus RT-ACRH13 on a stand because it has no base. You can only place it exactly on the surface. Keep that in mind when you leave it on the table. The antenna takes up some space, so keep that in mind.

The Asus RT-ACRH13 has only one USB 3.0 port, which is located on the front of the device. USB 3.0 is the latest port available on the market and is 10 times faster than USB 2.0. This makes it possible to transfer data much faster. It even allows you to quickly transfer large files.

Unfortunately, ASUS RT-ACRH13 is only equipped with a USB port. So you can only connect one device at a time when you want to transfer data. This limits you to one task at a time, which can sometimes be frustrating. The other four ports on the front panel are reserved for Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, making it difficult for other devices to access them.

Although a single USB 3.0 port is a good addition to the previous Asus RT-AC66U and most competing products, its location makes the wiring both sloppy and a little confusing.

It is to be expected that the cheaper a product is, the more features it can have and the fewer users can use it at the same time. In theory Asus RT-ACRH13 conquers the first with the latest MU-MIMO technology, but in practice there is also the other side of the coin. To take advantage of this new technology, you need devices with compatible wireless adapters. Unfortunately, there is not much on the market at the moment. The future of this technology is therefore obvious, but it may take some time before the potential of Asus’ CR-HAB13 is actually realised.
