Method 1 : Using the QuickTime Player application
Pre-installed on your Mac, QuickTime Player gives you all the features you need for basic and basic editing, regardless of the editing level. You can now navigate to the folder where the other videos are stored, select the video and click the Select Media button in the lower right corner of the video preview.

Double-click an individual clip to trim or crop it, then adjust the clip size by sliding the left and right edges. Click the Trim button after making the necessary adjustments to confirm the video trimming.
You will continue to record a new video after you have added and rearranged all the clips in the same video. Make sure QuickTime Player is the active window on your Mac to save the video file. Then click the File tab on the menu bar, click Export As and select the video resolution you want to save to.

To use the program, go to Shotcut.org and download the latest version of the .DMG installer available for MacOS.
Since Shotcut is not available on the Mac App Store, you will need to download and install the app manually. But you don’t have to worry, because Shotcut is a proven and widely used technology.
To install the software, first download the .dmg file from the above source, double click to open the file and then download the main volume of the Shotcut installer. You can now install the application by dragging the Shotcut application icon to the Applications folder in this window. Once installed, the application should appear in Launchpad on your Mac.
